Greenville Chamber welcomes Nika White, Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion

GREENVILLE, SC – August 8, 2012 – The Greenville Chamber of Commerce announces the addition of Nika White, and the launch of the Chamber’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. 

The vision for this initiative is for the Chamber to be recognized as a model for diversity and inclusion with the mission to foster and ensure diversity and inclusion is an integral part of all aspects of the Chamber’s strategic initiatives and to allow every possible advantage for community prosperity.


The Diversity and Inclusion initiative has been funded by these Investors: ACCELERATE!, BI-LO, CertusBank, City of Greenville, Greenville Hospital System, Greenville County Council, and Michelin North America.
 
Nika comes to us from Erwin Penland, where she served as Management Supervisor and Diversity Manager. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, as well as the Riley Institute at Furman University’s Diversity Leaders Initiative. Nika spearheads the county-wide celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday each year (MLK Dream Weekend) as Co-founder, Executive Board Member and Marketing Director.
