Greenville dentist Dr. J.L. Holliday earns national recognition with appointment to Molis Coaching faculty and official Align Technology speaker
April 15, 2026Dr. J.L. Holliday, a Greenville-based dentist recognized nationally for his expertise in digital smile design, Invisalign treatment, and comprehensive restorative dentistry, has been appointed to the faculty of Molis Coaching and selected as an official speaker for Align Technology.
Dr. Holliday’s clinical work focuses on complex smile rehabilitation and modern digital workflows that integrate orthodontics, esthetics, and restorative care. His approach combines advanced technology with a patient-centered philosophy to deliver highly functional, aesthetic outcomes.
As an Adjunct Faculty Member with Molis Coaching, the world’s leading Invisalign continuing education platform, Dr. Holliday mentors dentists across the globe. Since joining the faculty in September 2024, he has provided case feedback, co-hosted live educational webinars, trained doctors at in-person events, and contributed to the development of curriculum focused on restorative dentistry and same-day crowns, inlays, and onlays.
In addition, Dr. Holliday was named an Official Speaker for Align Technology in April 2025. In this role, he travels across the country lecturing and teaching workshops, sharing his expertise in complex Invisalign treatment, digital smile design, and comprehensive orthodontic-restorative workflows. His teaching emphasizes real-world application of advanced techniques used in cosmetic and complex dental reconstruction cases.
Dr. Holliday recently founded the Digital Restorative Academy, an emerging education platform built to equip doctors with the blueprints for modern restorative dentistry. By teaching advanced material science, digital design, and advanced manufacturing processes, the Academy aims to help dentists nationwide transition to single-visit, highly precise treatments that preserve healthy tooth structure.
Dr. Holliday has pursued extensive advanced training in comprehensive smile rehabilitation and continues to expand his clinical focus toward complex restorative and full-mouth reconstruction treatment—helping patients restore both function and esthetics through modern digital dentistry.
Dr. Holliday joined his father, Dr. “Happy” Holliday, in practice in Greenville in July 2020 following six years of service in the United States Navy. After earning his degree from the MUSC in 2014, he completed a General Practice Residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in San Diego, where he received advanced training in hospital dentistry and oral surgery.
He later served as the dental officer aboard the USS Harpers Ferry, deploying to the Persian Gulf and providing care for more than 800 Sailors and Marines. During his final assignment, he practiced at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii in Pearl Harbor.
“Honestly, I love my job. Digital dentistry helps me restore things that are broken and make them look whole and beautiful again. But the best part is seeing patients become the healthiest version of themselves—that’s the whole point. Getting to teach other dentists how to do this? That’s just icing on the cake,” said Dr. Holliday.
Through both his clinical work and educational leadership, Dr. Holliday continues to play a growing role in advancing the field of modern, digitally driven dentistry.
