Greenville entrepreneur Johnson to moderate Chamber panel

Local entrepreneur Tammy Johnson will be the moderator at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Owners Forum next week.

The quarterly event provides an opportunity for small business owners to learn best practices from each other. The meeting will kick off with a brainstorming session of issues, followed by peer-to-peer sharing where we’ll develop solutions to make Greenville’s Small Business community stronger than ever before.

This May 11 event is open to Chamber member, small business owners only. Registration and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the program immediately following at 12 p.m. No cost to attend. Bring your own lunch, drinks will be provided. Click here to register.

Johnson is originally from Houston Texas, but has lived in Greenville since 2009. She started her journey into entrepreneurship in January of 2011 when she opened Liquid Catering, a special event bartending company. The Old Cigar Warehouse followed in February of 2013, and she is now the CEO of Bravo1 Protection, a private security company, which opened in 2015.

Tammy is an active volunteer, serving as the volunteer Bar Manager for Euphoria and recently served as the Chair of PULSE, Greenville Chamber’s Young Professionals Group. She has been recognized as one of Greenville’s Best & Brightest under 35, was a 2013 finalist for Greenville Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year, serves on the City of Greenville’s Accommodations Tax Commission and is a member of Leadership Greenville Class 39. In 2014 she was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by Business Black Box Magazine and Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the South Carolina Small Business Administration.

Johnson was one of three finalists in the startup category.
