Greenville Little Theatre announces 2018-2019 season

Greenville Little Theatre’s Executive Artistic Director Allen McCalla and Producing Director Suzanne McCalla have announced the much anticipated 2018-2019 season. Featuring six MainStage productions in the beautiful 571-seat Charles E. Daniel Theatre, the season includes 3 musicals, a thriller, a holiday classic, and a comedy. In addition to the MainStage productions, GLT’s season includes 2 shows in the popular Concert Series and 2 shows in the cherished Theatre for Young Audiences. A season crafted with the audience in mind, and one sure to entertain, educate, and inspire audiences all season long.

Six-play full-season subscriptions are on sale now with the ability to add on the concert series. Subscription packages offer savings off single ticket prices, exclusive benefits and personalized customer service.

The epic musical by Lionel Bart – based on the Charles Dickens classic

March 1 – 17

Consider yourself at home with Lionel Bart’s timeless musical based on Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist. This classic treasure is widely hailed as a true theatrical masterpiece by actors and audience members alike and is one of the few musicals to win both a Tony and an Oscar. LEAVING IOWA  

An uproarious and heartwarming comedy by Tim Clue and Spike Manton

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY TWO FRONT TEETH by Catherine Bush

A delightful and heartwarming comedy for children ages 3 to 103.  Catherine Bush has created another magical Christmas story – this one about lively second-grader Lucy Lespree, who loses her two front teeth right before she is set to whistle in the school talent show.  A Christmas adventure that will fill the whole family with holiday cheer!

JUNIE B. JONES IS NOT A CROOK  by Allison Gregory

March 14 -16, 2019

Something terrible happened to Junie B. Jones at school today! Someone stole her new furry mittens! So when Junie B. finds a wonderful pen of many colors, she should be allowed to keep it, right? Julie B. Jones is not a crook… or is she? A hilarious and heartfelt tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park.
