Greenville New Markets Opportunity II appoints NMTC Manager

Greenville New Markets Opportunity II (GNMO II), a Community Development Entity (CDE) managed by Tax Advantage Group and Greenville Local Development Corporation in Greenville, S.C., has hired Doris B. Shellhorse as NMTC Program Manager. In this role, she is focused on growing GNMO II’s NMTC fund that helps revitalize South Carolina’s low-income communities by providing capital to organizations that create significant community impact. To date, GNMO II has deployed $73 million of NMTC allocation that support 1,815 quality jobs throughout South Carolina.

As program manager, Shellhorse is responsible for overseeing and implementing business strategies and GNMO II’s strategic plan, including community engagement, pipeline development, and marketing throughout GNMO II’s South Carolina service area.

Prior to joining GNMO II, Shellhorse spent 13 years in a number of management roles at Mitsubishi Polyester Films, Inc., which has its North American headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Greer, S.C. From 2014 to 2016, she served as Sales and Marketing Manager for the company’s USA, Canada, Mexico, and Central South America markets. For four years prior to that she served as Customer Service and Logistic Manager, and from 2003 to 2010 she was an account manager in Mitsubishi’s Marketing & Business Improvements division. She is a graduate of the Mitsubishi Global Leadership Program where she trained in US, Germany, and Japan. She also received certification as an ISO Internal Quality and Compliance Auditor.

Shellhorse has a bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science from Clemson University. She is a graduate of Leadership Greer and currently serves on the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Greenville County.
