Greenville Tech Students Named to All-State Academic Team

GREENVILLE, SC – Kory Kraft and Jessie Stanion, students at Greenville Technical College, were recently named to the Phi Theta Kappa 2011 South Carolina Academic All-State Team and are now eligible for the All-USA Community College Academic Team. These students and 18 others from 12 of the state¹s technical colleges were selected based upon their commitment to scholarship and community service. 
The South Carolina Technical College System will honor these students at a recognition ceremony at the Sate House in Columbia on March 15, 2011, at 10 a.m.
 
Kraft is a student in Greenville Tech’s Honors Program, who is completing an associate degree with plans to transfer to a four-year college or university this summer. A volunteer at Frazee Dream Center, he hopes to continue to work with the children there as he completes a bachelor¹s degree.
 
Stanion is also a student in the Honors Program with plans to transfer. She plans to study at Furman University in the fall of 2012, eventually completing a master’s degree in neuroscience.
