May 28, 2024

Seven members of the Greenville Technical College faculty have been honored with National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Awards. The awards, recognizing individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and contributions to their students and colleagues, were presented to Amy Daigle (Radiologic Technology), Karen Duncan (Computer Technology), Rebecca Ferguson (Speech Communication and Theatre), Mary Jenko (Nursing), Fabiana Romero-Buchanan (Personal & Professional Enrichment), Caren Stansell (Visual Arts), and Vincent Weaver (Management).

The NISOD Excellence Awards were established in 1991 to provide NISOD member colleges with an opportunity to salute individuals doing extraordinary work on their campuses. The organization recognizes that teaching and leading on the front lines of the community college mission rest on the shoulders of these outstanding individuals.

NISOD members include community and technical colleges and other two-year institutions from across the United States and Canada and from around the world. The organization’s mission is to empower faculty, administrators, and staff to grow professionally, strive for excellence, make an impact, and gain recognition.
