Greenville Women Giving announces 2016-2017 board

Greenville Women Giving, a local women’s collective philanthropic organization, announced the individuals serving on its board during the 2016-2017 season. Its board of directors includes business, community and civic leaders who are passionate about making positive, nearly always “course-altering” change upon those who serve those in need in and across Greenville County.

The following women comprise Greenville Women Giving’s 2016-2017 Board of Directors:

Committed to strengthening the community through the collective resources of members by awarding high-impact grants in five areas, Greenville Women Giving has awarded more than $4.2 million in its first 10 years. This year’s board begins the next decade of giving and growing a greater Greenville.

Greenville Women Giving, a women’s collective giving organization, was created as a special initiative of the Community Foundation in 2006. GWG is committed to improving the lives of Greenville County residents by awarding high-impact grants ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 in five areas: arts, education, environment, health and human services. To date, GWG has contributed more than $4.2 million to 72 Greenville nonprofit organizations and has grown to more than 500 members, making it one of the nation’s largest women’s collective giving organizations.
