GreenvilleConnect names 2012 Board Officers

GREENVILLE, SC – January 23, 2012 – GreenvilleConnect, an organization with the goal of building and unifying the area’s Christian community by being a resource to facilitate collaboration, has named its 2012 board officers.

Chairman of the GreenvilleConnect board will be Tim Brett, the chief executive officer of Complete Public Relations; vice chair is Ellis Beddingfield, director of Diligent Hands Gracious Hearts; secretary is Gwen Martin, an attorney with Bradford Neal Martin & Associates, PA; and treasurer is Jimmy Baldwin, a retired Greenville labor attorney.

Each member serves a one-year term.

Brett spent more than a decade on the Salvation Army Board with two terms as chairman. He is a coach in the Upward basketball program and a teacher with the Good News program at Bethel Elementary.

Beddingfield was a youth pastor for nine years at Pendleton Street Baptist Church and is the board president of Greenville Area Interfaith Hospitality Network (GAIHN). Through Diligent Hands Gracious Hearts, he helps serve the community responding to and meeting the needs of the poor, elderly and handicapped.

Martin is a member of Grace Church, where she has served on the Media Team and as an Explore small group facilitator. She also volunteers at Generations Group Home. Baldwin is a member of Downtown Presbyterian Church and is also active in Executive Ministries and in Kairos Prison Ministries. He has served on the board since 2005.

 

GreenvilleConnect’s goal is building and unifying the Christian Community by providing a common information resource center; facilitating collaboration for joint ministry and outreach while initiating activities that stimulate fellowship and ministry collaboration. It’s an alliance of churches, ministry organizations, and business and community leaders who share a commitment to working together to encourage and support movements of evangelism and discipleship in every segment of Greater Greenville.
