June 26, 2024

GreenWood, Inc., an integrated maintenance, construction, and workforce solutions provider, has earned the McGriff Workplace Safety Excellence Award for achieving excellence in safety performance throughout the company. Only companies who achieve outstanding overall safety performance based on workers’ compensation policy loss ratio, workers’ compensation experience modification (EMR), and BLS/DART/OSHA recordable incident rate are eligible for this recognition. This marks the 14th consecutive year that GreenWood has received this award and they are the only company to achieve this level of recognition.

“We are proud of GreenWood’s commitment to safety which is evident in their safe work practices,” says Warren Blanchard, McGriff Insurance Services. “This type of recognition is well deserved for a company that consistently achieves these impressive results year after year.”

Mike Simmons, corporate Director of Safety for GreenWood adds, “Every day our goal is to perform work safely without injuries or incidents. We proactively approach every project and each task with a zero incidents mindset according to our company wide ‘always aware’ safety program. By providing our team with the necessary tools, guidelines, and training they need, we know that project work can be performed safely and effectively.”
