GreenWood, Inc. reaches 6 million safe hours at Merck

GreenWood, Inc., an integrated operations, maintenance, and construction solutions provider, celebrated reaching 6 million safe work hours without a lost time event at their Merck project site in Elkton, Virginia. This significant milestone was achieved from a continuous work relationship between GreenWood and Merck that extends more than 3 decades. Throughout this time, the GreenWood team has consistently performed various construction related services with zero lost time injuries. This Merck location produces vaccines in a facility covering more than one million square feet and has been operational for over 70 years.
Through GreenWood’s “Always Aware” safety program, safe work practices are emphasized for employee teams and individuals at all times. Every day begins with a focus on safety and every team member upholds the high standard of performing work safely. GreenWood’s safety program seamlessly integrates into the Merck safety standards where prevention of incidents, injuries, and illnesses is an ongoing priority.
