Nazzaro will bring Greenwood’s Wreaths Across America campaign to a national audience during an interview with Michael W. Hale, the radio show’s morning host. She will offer listeners the chance to learn more about Greenwood’s efforts in support of the WAA mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach, and ways to get involved locally.

“It is an extraordinary honor to have the chance to discuss Greenwood’s support of Wreaths Across America with a national audience and how our community has come together to support our veterans,” Nazzaro said. “During the past several months, Greenwood’s commitment to its veterans has become a shining example to other communities.”

During the interview, Nazzaro will share personal stories that evoke the emotion of the mission and offer a direct “call to action” for the four participating cemeteries in Greenwood County – Edgewood, Evening Star and Oakbrook Memorial Park in Greenwood and Elmwood in Ninety Six. On Saturday, Dec. 18, which is National Wreaths Across America Day, wreaths will be placed in more than 2,700 cemeteries throughout the United States and abroad.

A noon ceremony on Dec. 18 will be held at Oakbrook Memorial Park to honor veterans. The event is free and open to the public.
