From May 14th – May 21st, Greer Relief will be hosting the first ever Greer Relief Week. They have partnered with local businesses, restaurants, and organizations to raise funds for the mission of Greer Relief to provide services to eliminate poverty and help neighbors overcome barriers for success.
Greer Relief has been serving the community for over 85 years. In 2021, they provided assistance to over 3,700 people. Through the food pantry, financial assistance program, and empowerment opportunities, Greer Relief has been able to prevent hunger and homelessness for hundreds of families.
“We’re excited this event is centered around our mission and how we will be celebrating the community we are here to support. This week was chosen due to our founding in late May 1936, and the dedication of the community we love,” stated Executive Director, Caroline Robertson.
Greer Relief Week has a variety of opportunities in Greer and the surrounding communities.
