Growth continues in 2016 for SynTerra

GREENVILLE, SC – After a record growth of over 35% for 2015, SynTerra continues to add employees.  During the first quarter of 2016, Craig Eady, Greg Darnell, Dameon Medley, Angela Austin, Catherine Giguere, Kevin Campbell and Vick Crowley joined SynTerra.

Craig D. Eady is a licensed Professional Geologist registered in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia and has practiced in the field of geology, hydrogeology, and environmental science and engineering throughout the United States since 1985.   As a consultant and project manager, Craig has served dozens of commercial and financial clients and governmental agencies at sites with environmental responsibilities under various programs and laws aiming to optimize use of public funds and promote commercial profitability while ensuring environmental protection and permit compliance.   Craig has managed environmental matters at sites that have included small and large scale product and waste management,, and various contaminated media (soil, sediment,  soil gas, surface water and groundwater).  This experience has enabled him to specialize in strategic support and innovative approaches to environmental assessment, remediation, regulatory permitting and compliance management, real property investment and due diligence, and litigation support for testifying and non-testifying expert witnesses in environmental matters.

Mr. Darnell has over 20 years experience in the environmental field. His experience in environmental consulting is related to assessment, remediation, and monitoring of petroleum-impacted and CERCLA sites. Mr. Darnell has led field efforts for Phase II environmental assessments as well as installation, maintenance, and monitoring of remediation systems at industrial, commercial, and private facilities. He has asssited the operator in charge on mutiple wastewater treatment systems. Mr. Darnell has been the onsite representative, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and facility representatives. General experience includes field oversight of well installation, construction activities for remedy implemetation, such as landfill capping, pump and treat systems, and vapor extraction systems, and system decommissioning. Mr. Darnell has also led large-scale groundwater and soil assessments, hydraulic conductivity tests, passive LNAPL recovery, utilization of immunoassy technology, waste handling, and perforamance monitoring of approved Remedial Action remedies.

Catherine Giguere has six years of experience in engineering and environmental consulting and has worked on a variety of projects including groundwater data analysis, surface water modeling, construction oversight, environmental sampling, and project management,. For over two years, Catherine provided on site support at a chemical plant where she worked in the environmental compliance department. Catherine graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Kevin Campbell has 23 years experience in manufacturing operations including automotive components & electrical connectors.  His environmental experience includes Process Safety Management, Waste Water Treatment Operations and Compliance, DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation and RCRA compliance.  He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

Dameon Medley joins SynTerra with over 11 years experience as an environmental professional in the electric power industry.  His experience includes analytical chemistry analyses for water, soil, coal, ash, and oil,  Furthermore, Mr. Medley has lead many flue gas testing projects for coal-fired power plants.  His chemical engineering experience includes providing process designs for Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems (SCRs) and Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), developing technical specifications and proposals, project management, and consistently engaging with current and future customers to ensure the best product offering is available.

Angela Austin joined SynTerra as a Project Scientist working in the Environmental Services Group. She holds a B.S. in Geology from Grand Valley State University.  Angela has a combined 15 years of experience working in both the public and private sector.   She worked as a hydrogeologist for the SC DHEC Underground Storage Tank Assessment Section and as a Senior Environmental Quality Specialist for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ).   Angela specializes in problem solving petroleum contamination from leaking underground storage tanks by both conducting and overseeing soil and groundwater assessments to investigate environmental violations of federal and state laws, determining probable causes, and developing feasible corrective actions to achieve compliance while resolving conflict with landowners, attorneys and government officials.  While with the MDEQ, she also provided litigation support by testifying as an expert witness and the development and promulgation of administrative rules and State law.  As a private environmental consultant, Angela developed experience in managing and preparing Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), overseeing underground storage tank closures and InSitu-remedial technologies.

Vick Crowley has over 20 years of corporate financial management experience in both public and private companies.  He has specific expertise in corporate strategy development, corporate finance, accounting, mergers & acquisitions, treasury, financial planning & analysis, and risk management.  In addition, Mr. Crowley has extensive international experience and has served in numerous executive financial leadership capacities in Europe.    Mr. Crowley is joining SynTerra from J&P Park Acquisitions, Inc. where he served as Chief Financial Officer.  Prior to J&P Park, Mr. Crowley served CFO roles with VIS, LLC and Q Tires, Inc.  Mr. Crowley earned an M.B.A from Emory University and a B.A. from Sewanee- The University of the South.
