Guy Furay selected into Healthcare.gov’s 2019 Elite Circle of Champions

Upstate insurance leader, Guy Furay, has been selected as one of Healthcare.gov’s 2019 Elite Circle of Champions.
The national recognition is awarded to insurance brokers who have helped more than 100 individuals and families make their health insurance selections throughout the current open enrollment period. This will make the fourth consecutive year that Furay has won the award.
“This just shows that my team is achieving our goal of helping people,” said Furay. At The Insurance Source, our mission is simple and straightforward: We Make Health Insurance Easier. Our industry is complex and especially in today’s broken environment the process can be overwhelming for families. I am happy to be a part of the solution for so many here in the Upstate communities.”
Furay received a bachelor’s degree from Missouri in 1990 and master’s degree from Webster University in 1995. Shortly after receiving the two degrees, Furay began his insurance career in 1997 with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Taking his experience from his time at BlueCross BlueShield, Furay decided to open The Insurance Source, an independent brokerage specializing in health insurance in 2005. Since opening the business, Furay has earned a Group Benefits Associate Designation, completed five of eight graduate level insurance courses offered by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and most recently received a Soaring Eagle award from the National Association of Health Underwriters.
