Hadwin-White Subaru delivers blankets, care kits to patients undergoing cancer treatment at Tidelands Health

As part of its annual Subaru Loves to Care initiative, Hadwin-White Subaru will donate 80 blankets and 30 patient care kits for distribution to patients receiving infusion treatments at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network locations in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Georgetown. 
The blankets provide warmth and comfort to patients undergoing chemotherapy and other cancer treatments while the care kits include items designed to support patients throughout their treatment journeys.
“We’re so grateful for the continued support from Hadwin-White Subaru and Blood Cancer United,” said Kate Alford, R.N., nurse manager for MUSC Health Hematology Oncology at Myrtle Beach. “These blankets are much more than just something to keep our patients warm. They’re a tangible reminder that our community is thinking about them and supporting them during one of the most difficult times in their lives. We’re honored to be able to share these gifts with our patients, and we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who helps make this special tradition possible.”
For more than 10 years, this annual donation has supported people in the community undergoing cancer treatment.
“Cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally challenging, and we hope these gifts provide comfort and encouragement to patients during that journey,” said Jordan Hadwin, general manager of Hadwin-White Subaru. “We’re proud to partner with Tidelands Health and Blood Cancer United to support members of our community when they need it most.”
The Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network provides comprehensive cancer care services close to home for residents of Horry and Georgetown counties, including cancer screenings, diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. As the exclusive MUSC Hollings Cancer Network member serving the region, Tidelands Health provides access to the expertise and resources of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, South Carolina’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center.
