Halls Chophouse Greenville to undergo $2.2 million renovations

June 29, 2023

Hall Management Group, the South Carolina-based owner of the Halls Chophouse restaurants in South Carolina and Tennessee, will temporarily close the company’s Greenville, South Carolina location in July for extensive restaurant renovations. The popular downtown Greenville restaurant will fully compensate all company team members during the temporary closure, which begins July 2, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

“Greenville has been a wonderful home for our Halls Chophouse brand and we are excited to reinvest in our guests and city with this major renovation project,” said Tommy Hall, Proprietor of Hall Management Group. “This decision to fully pay our 170 colleagues while we are temporarily closed was easy to make. It’s our dedicated team members who make our dining experiences so memorable. We look forward to welcoming our guests back to a beautiful new space with the same outstanding food and quality service.”

Hall Management Group will invest $2.2 million for the renovation project, 10-percent of which will go toward compensating the roughly 170 employees during the temporary closure. Several areas of the restaurant will undergo renovations. The kitchen will be completely replaced and updated with the latest, state-of-the-art appliances and equipment. The dining rooms will receive new carpet, lighting fixtures and booths that reflect the Halls Chophouse signature look and color scheme.

What will the company do with any leftover food during the renovation? Donate it! A portion of the food on-hand at the restaurant will be donated to Harvest Hope Food Bank, South Carolina’s largest food bank.

“Harvest Hope provides over 20 million meals on average to neighbors in need across 20 counties in the Upstate, Midlands and Pee Dee,” said Erinn Rowe, Harvest Hope CEO. “With 1-in-10 people facing hunger in our state, and an 8.1% food insecurity rate in Greenville County alone, the donation made by the Hall’s team will be making an incredible difference for our community by providing nutritious, quality food to those who need it most.”

Halls Chophouse Greenville opened in January 2016. Renovations are expected to last about three weeks.
