Shoppers at South Carolina Stores Can Round Up for ALS – Every Cent Counts in the Fight Against ALS

Harris Teeter announced the launch of its Health Partner Round Up campaign, which benefits six leading health non-profit organizations, including the ALS Association.

Now through April 23, 2024, shoppers can round up their transaction to the nearest whole dollar at all South Carolina Stores and a portion of those funds will benefit the ALS Association.

“By shopping at Harris Teeter and choosing to Round Up at checkout, you’re helping raise funds that directly impact the work we’re doing,” said Cheryl Kunkle, vice president of corporate partnerships for the ALS Association. “Funds raised stay in the local community in which they are donated and help support our work to enhance care services, advocate for those affected by ALS, and accelerate critical research initiatives.”

The funds collected throughout the campaign will be evenly distributed among the six health charity partners at the end of the campaign. The campaign raised more than $900,000 in total for the campaign partners in 2023.

“Non-profits rely on the generosity of our valued associates and loyal shoppers. These donations are critical for these organizations to continue conducting research and providing life-saving treatments and programs,” said Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs for Harris Teeter. “Through this unique partnership we can increase awareness of each non-profit organization’s role in improving lives and building healthier communities.”

The Health Partner Round Up campaign provides shoppers the opportunity to conveniently give back to the local community. When shoppers participate in the campaign, they’ll be making an impact in the advancement of critical research programs and life-changing technology and treatments for individuals living with ALS.
