Hartness announces launch of Phase II at new urban village on Greenville’s eastside

March 30, 2021

Hartness, a new urban village founded by the Hartness family and located on Greenville’s Eastside, announced the launch of Phase II with the release of 43 new homesites and expansion of its Cottage and Townhome offerings. This second phase further implements Hartness’ strategic plan to create a thoughtfully designed and vibrant urban village boasting walkable blocks and streets and a variety of home types, sizes and styles.

“Whether you are right-sizing or looking to have more space, Hartness offers something for everyone with the expansion of our home designs and buildable sites,” said Sean Hartness, CEO of Hartness Development. “Our artful mix of homesites and homes welcomes a diverse range of homebuyers, while also resulting in the scenic and inviting streetscapes that are essential to creating a traditional neighborhood development.”

Phase II of Hartness includes the launch of 43 new Cottage, Village and Estate homesites. Starting at $90,000, the 13 new Cottage homesites are scaled for smaller families, empty nesters, and guest homes. The 14 new Village homesites, starting at $165,000, can accommodate larger single family residences. Estate homesites are suited for custom residences and can accommodate features such as basements, accessory dwelling units, pools and detached garages. The 16 new Estate homesites start at $195,000. Purchasers have the option of working with any of the Hartness Builder Guild members and can select from several professionally designed plans or custom build their home in accordance with the Hartness Architectural Standards.

Hartness’ Phase II also marks the expansion of home offerings to include the Cottage Courtyard, Cottage Grove, and a collection of new Townhomes. Each is designed by Lew Oliver, the Hartness Town Planner, and as with all Hartness homes, they will showcase exceptional quality, craftmanship and attention to detail.

Cottage Courtyard:
Cottage Courtyard homes range from 995 to 2,870 square feet and overlook a landscaped courtyard complete with sidewalks, lush greenspace and park benches. These quaint 11 cottages are available starting in the $500’s and built by CarsonSpeer Builders, Hartness Construction, Hollison Homes and J. Francis Builders.

Cottage Grove:
The 13 Cottage Grove homes feature main level owner’s suites, tree lined parking areas, detached storage units and intimate interior courtyards. Ranging from 1,540 to 1,870 square feet, the Lavender, Rosemary and Honeysuckle home plans are available starting in the low $500’s and built exclusively by Hartness Construction.

Townhomes:
Hartness Construction will also launch a new townhome offering with pricing available in May. At 1,850 square feet these two-story plans feature two bedrooms, two baths, an elevator option and an attached two-car garage. The townhomes face a landscaped green street, are adjacent to the Sports Garden and in close proximity to the Hartness Preserve’s trail system.

The Hartness family has long envisioned transforming their estate into a legacy community built to last for future generations, and these new offerings are available throughout Hartness, a vibrant village thoughtfully created in a traditional neighborhood design. More than a collection of beautiful homes, Hartness is a quaint pedestrian-friendly community embracing authentic architecture, natural and built amenities, land preservation, and a mixed-use village center that will be home to the Village Kitchen restaurant opening this spring. Hartness adheres to the planning principles of New Urbanism, and every aspect of community design is focused on creating and connecting the private and public realms with scenic, inviting streetscapes and pedestrian corridors that reward the act of walking.

Phase II homesites and homes are now available for purchase. Contact [email protected] or 864-920-0375 to schedule an appointment.
