Hartness recognized at the eighth annual Bridge Awards Gala

April 22, 2021

Hartness, a 444-acre urban village founded by the Hartness family and located on Greenville’s Eastside, is pleased to announce that two homes by Hartness Construction were recently recognized for their craftmanship by receiving multiple 2020 Bridge Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greenville. The Bridge Awards presented the Jasmine Cottage with best overall and best kitchen in the custom new home category. The Magnolia was awarded best overall in its custom new home category, in addition to best bath.

“We are honored to have the Jasmine Cottage and the Magnolia recognized by the HBA of Greenville’s Bridge Awards,” said Sean Hartness, CEO of Hartness Development and Hartness Construction. “Both of these new homes exemplify the beautifully crafted and unique offerings of Hartness.”

Hartness offers finely crafted homes that appeal to most any family by incorporating a thoughtful blend of homes of varying sizes and design all located throughout the community, including the Jasmine Cottage and the Magnolia. Both homes were designed by Town Designer Lew Oliver. The Jasmine Cottage is a charming, yet luxurious 1,000 square foot home that features cedar plank siding and a cedar shake roof to authentically evoke the English Vernacular style. The Magnolia is a three bedroom, two and half bath home inspired by classical Colonial Revival architecture. The home is beautifully crafted with a brick exterior, cedar shake roof and a relaxing, rocking-chair front porch overlooking the intimate Cottage Courtyard.

“Year after year this event is becoming a benchmark for the Home Builders Association and year after year, we continue to see the incredible works produced by the best home building, remodeling, and craftsmen in our industry,” Taylor Lyles, executive vice president of the HBA of Greenville. “The HBA of Greenville is excited to honor its membership with these awards as a testament to their craft and character in the industry.”

The HBA of Greenville recognizes excellence in craftsmanship, service to the industry, commitment to the community and member recruitment and retention, with a variety of awards through the Bridge Awards. Award winners were formally recognized during a ceremony on April 15, 2021. Additional information about the Bridge Awards can be found at bridgeawards.com.
