Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Attorney Sam Mabry Elected to ABOTA National Board

GREENVILLE, SC – February 8, 2011 – The law firm of HaynsworthSinkler Boyd, P.A. is pleased to announce that H. Sam Mabry III has beenelected to the National Board of Directors for the American Board ofTrial Advocates (ABOTA).  Mabry will complete the unexpired term ofAnderson lawyer V. Laniel Chapman and then will serve a 3-year termthrough January 2015.  Mabry practices in the Firm’s Greenville office.

ABOTA is a national organization whose main goals are the preservationof the Seventh Amendment right to a trial by jury in civil cases and thepromotion of professionalism and civility among trial attorneys.  Election to ABOTA is based on peer reputation, trial experience and highethics.  The South Carolina Chapter of ABOTA also provides educationalprograms to other attorneys in South Carolina, students at theUniversity of South Carolina Law School and to high school students inSouth Carolina through its James Otis Lecture Series on NationalConstitution Day.  The South Carolina Chapter of ABOTA has twice beenelected “Chapter of the Year” by ABOTA nationally.

Mabry is admitted to practice in the U.S. Fourth and Federal CircuitCourts of Appeals and South Carolina.  He defends clients in classactions, business, commercial and financial services litigation and alsoregularly handles employment contract disputes and patent and tradesecret litigation.  A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers,Mabry is consistently included in The Best Lawyers in America® -Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation and Products LiabilityLitigation.
