High Spirits Hospitality formed by Johnson

March 9, 2017

Local entrepreneur Tammy Johnson announced the official formation of High Spirits Hospitality the parent company to her four companies: Liquid Catering, The Old Cigar Warehouse, Bravo1 Protection and High Spirits Events.

“This is an exciting new chapter in our history,” said Johnson, whose serves as the chief executive officer for High Spirits. “We started out as a small bartending company working out of our my garage, and have grown into a business with 19 full-time employees and more than 70 part-time employees.”

The idea behind High Spirits Hospitality is to serve as the overarching bridge between the four companies that all serve unique and different purposes, but operate with the vision of providing exceptional, hospitality-driven service for each and every guest and client we encounter.

The four brands under High Spirits Hospitality are:

  • Liquid Catering. Formed in 2011, Liquid Catering specializes in providing top-shelf bar elements for all occasions. Liquid Catering offers the most experienced bartenders and mixologists in the region, providing an array of services from wine tastings and weddings to corporate functions and non-alcoholic events.
  • The Old Cigar Warehouse: Located at 912 S. Main Street across from Fluor Field in the West End, this historic downtown building features more than 7,000 square feet of event space, an open catering policy and full event support, allowing the venue to deliver a seamless event. Opened in 2013, The Old Cigar Warehouse hosts close to 175 events each year. It was built in 1882 and historically used as a warehouse for cigars and cotton. With 30-foot-high ceilings, exposed brick and stained floors, the space is sure to inspire the most creative of events.
  • Bravo1 Protection: This company specializes in providing hospitality-driven, exceptional security services for bars, venues, festivals and businesses. Its experienced officers are trained not just to protect you and your guests, but to do so while providing excellent customer service.
  • High Spirits Events: This is the event production and management side of the company. This group is behind the recently announced Tacos n’ Tequila Fiesta being held on Sunday, April 9.

“Each of these four companies is very special to me,” Johnson said. “By creating High Spirits Hospitality, I am able to allow them to grow while also being able to add more facets to the overall company.”
