Highland Holidays brings Scottish Christmas spectacular to historic Winyah Auditorium

Georgetown hosts the final performance of Highland Echoes’ 2026 Carolina holiday tour December 12
Bagpipes, fiddle, Highland dance and Scottish Christmas traditions will fill Historic Winyah Auditorium on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM when Highland Holidays – A Celtic Christmas with Highland Echoes arrives in Georgetown for the final performance of its 2026 Carolina tour.
The full theatrical production combines live music, premier Highland dance, storytelling, familiar Christmas songs, original arrangements and traditions drawn from Scotland’s winter season and Hogmanay celebrations. 
The cast features Patrick Mangan, a 12-year fiddle veteran of Riverdance; award-winning Celtic vocalist Jennifer Licko; Highland piper Cassandra Calo; Brazilian percussionist Daniel Gohn; Stephen Pachuta on bass, trumpet and keys; and the Highland Echoes Premier Scottish Dancers.
Original choreography by Sandra Gribbin brings the athleticism and precision of Highland dance into the musical arrangements throughout the production.
“The Carolinas’ connection with Scotland gives us an incredible heritage story to build from,” Licko said. “Highland Holidays is about honoring that past while showing how those traditions still live in our communities today. During the holiday season, we bring that heritage together through exceptional music and dance and let it come fully to life onstage.”
Highland Holidays is designed as a family-friendly holiday experience for longtime Celtic music fans as well as audiences encountering Scottish music and dance for the first time.
The production supports the cultural mission of the Scottish Cultural Outreach Foundation, a North Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to Scottish arts and cultural education.
