Hill Construction breaks ground on SouthShore Marina on Lake Murray

Hill Construction has officially broken ground on a major expansion at SouthShore Marina. The project will include two 75-foot-tall, 7-story dry stack boat storage buildings, each capable of holding 175 boats, significantly boosting the marina’s capacity.

The expansion also includes a high-tech boat trolley system to enhance boat handling and a new office building to support operations and improve customer service.

“This project is a bold step forward for Lake Murray’s boating community,” said Ray Hill, President of Hill Construction. “We’re proud to lead the way in marine infrastructure and bring innovation to a destination that’s already beloved by so many.”

Construction is underway, with completion expected this fall.
