Ingram Recognized for Outstanding Civic and Professional Accomplishments

Holliday Ingram, a real estate law firm headquartered in downtown Greenville, announced that Managing Partner Trey Ingram was named a recipient of USC’s 2020 Compleat Lawyer Awards. The awards ceremony was held virtually on April 8, 2021.

The Compleat Lawyer Awards were established in 1992 by the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Council (formerly the Alumni Association) to recognize alumni for outstanding civic and professional accomplishments. Recipients are individuals who have made significant contributions to the legal profession and exemplify the highest standards of professional competence, ethics and integrity.

Trey was nominated by the Honorable J. Thomas McElveen, member of the South Carolina Senate. In his remarks McElveen said, “Trey is a true champion for children of this state and one of the greatest advocates we have for adoption and the betterment of our foster care system in South Carolina.” He closed with, “Trey testified before subcommittees, educated and convinced policymakers, and served as a wonderful resource and valuable part in a process that has led to some truly positive changes in our state – which improved the lives of so many South Carolina children, and literally saved the lives of others.”

A first-generation college graduate, Trey earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Charleston Southern University while minoring in business administration, psychology and religion. He went on to receive his law degree (J.D.) from the University of South Carolina and is a member of both the North Carolina and South Carolina Bar associations.

He began his legal career in 2008 with Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP, where he practiced for 10 years, primarily focusing on real estate law. In 2018, Trey joined Hayes Holliday to form Holliday Ingram, LLC. Trey is passionate about foster care, adoption and legislative advocacy; he takes great joy in being able to assist foster and adoptive families and children in South Carolina.
