Holy City Hospitality hosts Southern Living’s 50th Anniversary Brunch

CHARLESTON, SC – Holy City Hospitality is proud to host Southern Living’s 50th Anniversary ‘Bloody Marys and Biscuits’ Brunch on Sunday, June 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historic Rice Mill.

With tickets available for $75, the event highlights include an upscale brunch menu, a biscuit-making demonstration by Southern Living Test Director Robby Melvin and a gospel performance by Ann Caldwell and the Magnolia Singers.

Menu details include:

Vincent Chicco’s: Chef Aaron Lemieux
· Duck Egg Omelet with wild mushrooms, fontina and summer truffle crème fraiche

Michael’s on the Alley: Chef Aaron Lemieux
· Prime Rib Club Bites with house jowl bacon, onion soubise, horseradish tomato aioli and garlic chips

Coast Bar & Grill: Chef David Pell
· Petite Shrimp n’ Grits with tasso gravy, grit cake and local shrimp

The Islander: Chef John Whisenant
· Granola and yogurt with seasonal berries, mango yogurt and house made granola

39 Rue de Jean: Chef Jacob Schor
· Duck Confit Biscuit with cherry preserves and whipped duck fat butter

Virginia’s on King: Chef Shane Whiddon
· Sweet Potato Blini with pheasant rillettes and fried quail egg served with fig-sorghum preserves and rosemary-smoked maple syrup

Good Food Catering: Chef Tiana Hamilton
· Fried Green Tomato and goat cheese with sweet pepper relish, spicy aioli over mesclun greens with julienned vegetables and lemon-basil vinaigrette

A brunch bar will also include Virginia’s on King Bloody Mary-Sake with donated Charleston Bloody Mary mix, Chloe Champagne mimosas, house wine and beer selections.
