Hood Construction receives CAGC Community Impact Award
June 12, 2025Hood Construction was recognized with the 2025 Carolina’s AGC Community Impact Award. Each year, the Carolinas chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America honors companies in South Carolina & North Carolina that have made contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents, dedication, and resources. Hood Construction was among 32 firms awarded this honor, for their community outreach initiative at Camp Cole.
In July of 2024, the Hood team volunteered with Camp Stars, a program of Camp Cole as part of their Hood Cares community outreach initiative. Camp Stars is a weeklong overnight camp for military children with illnesses, disabilities, and life challenges that offers a combination of traditional indoor and outdoor activities. In preparation for the camp, Hood Construction team members individually signed up to serve meals, both lunch and dinner, throughout their weeklong camp experience. Also, the team donated meals to be served, filling in on the days that food orders were not already provided. It was a successful week of serving meals, connecting with campers, and supporting Camp Cole’s mission.
The Community Impact Award recipients will be honored at the Carolinas AGC Summer Summit to be held in Hilton Head on July 26th, 2025.
