Horton Law Firm welcomes new associate

Horton Law Firm announced the hire of Greenville native, Jeremy R. Summerlin as an associate attorney to their legal team.

Summerlin works primarily with employees and businesses in legal disputes, representing workers who were wrongly terminated, harassed, or experienced discrimination on the basis of age, race, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, medical condition or religious bias. Summerlin also represents executives and employees in all non-compete and employment litigation. This includes claims involving whistleblowing retaliation, severance contracts, employment contracts, wage theft, unpaid overtime and minimum wage violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and sick leave under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

After receiving an undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University, Summerlin earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Since joining the Greenville legal community in 2014, Summerlin has played an active role in the community. He serves in the South Carolina State Guard JAG Corps, is an active member of Greenville Chamber of Commerce – PULSE Young Professionals and assists at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church.
