Hotel Hartness announces Spa H and appointment of Tammi Johnson as Spa Manager

November 2, 2022

Hotel Hartness announced Spa H, a full-service spa amenity available just a short walk from the forthcoming luxury boutique hotel, and the appointment of Tammi Johnson as spa manager. Situated within the 449-acre award-winning Hartness community, Hotel Hartness will offer an idyllic retreat in proximity to the airport and downtown Greenville. Managed by Hay Creek Hotels, the property, as well as Spa H, is set to open winter 2023.

“Our spa will be available to guests of the hotel as well as the greater Upstate community and is poised to introduce a truly elevated experience and personalized level of service currently not offered in Greenville,” said Albert Mertz, general manager of Hotel Hartness. “With Tammi at the helm and the spa’s stunning setting, menu of customizable treatments, and four premiere suite accommodations, Spa H will be a very special destination for locals and visitors alike.”

A secluded oasis for relaxation nestled next to Hartness’ nature preserve, Spa H will offer six treatment rooms, which includes two spacious couples rooms, as well as four premiere suite accommodations. The beautifully appointed spa suites are the first of their kind in Greenville and will provide an unparalleled experience devoted to tranquility and wellbeing. Each one will boast luxurious spa bathroom amenities, aromatherapy diffusers, and a balcony affording views of the water set against the nature preserve among other exclusive offerings. In addition to breathtaking views, the balconies will accommodate in-room massages. The quiet luxury of Hotel Hartness will be seen across the four suites and entire spa, including the comfortable dressing rooms, warm greeting lounge, and sumptuous relaxation area opening to a serene garden with water views looking out to the neighboring nature preserve.

Spa H will be a destination for wellness techniques and treatments that revive and rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul through a bespoke wellness journey enjoyed by each guest. Its curated menu of customizable treatments will offer a wide range of facials, massages, and body treatments, focus on ingredients indigenous to the area,
and feature natural and results-driven skincare products. Each experience will include a special welcome and departure amenity and exclusive to Spa H will be the Honey Magnolia Parfait and the Bourbon Bubble body polish, two signature treatments that draw inspiration from Hotel Hartness’ unique setting and farm-to-table attributes. The spa menu will also offer CBD treatments and service add-ons, as well as change seasonally to incorporate seasonal ingredients. Additionally, Spa H will host wellness events and special programming in Hartness’ extraordinary outdoor setting including rolling pastures, scenic lakes, flowing creeks, and lushly canopied woodlands.

Newly appointed spa manager Tammi Johnson will be responsible for managing operations for Spa H. Johnson previously held the position of assistant spa director at the esteemed Old Edwards Inn & Spa in Highlands, North Carolina and her nearly 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry also includes serving as spa supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia and serving as assistant spa director at the Woodstock Inn located in Vermont.

“I am thrilled to join the incredible team at Hotel Hartness and look forward to bringing an exciting new spa concept to the area. Spa H will be remarkable upon opening and beyond with its ever-changing seasonal menu and programming,” said Tammi Johnson, manager of Spa H.

Johnson is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She continued her education at Florida’s College of Natural Health where she completed all requirements to become a certified massage therapist.
