The “Long Night in Lanford,” is set to be an extraordinary night race set in the heart of Enoree, South Carolina. This unique event invites adventure enthusiasts to partake in an exhilarating all-night race through an off-road trail under the starlit sky. Priced at $45, the event is scheduled to commence at 6:00 pm and continue through the darkness until 8:00 am, promising an unforgettable nocturnal adventure. It’s a race, a challenge, and a call to help our furry friends at the Laurens County Humane Society presents the through the winter months.

Race Details

The event is more than a race—it’s a test of endurance and camaraderie. Taking place on November 18, 2023, at 210 Service Dr., Enoree, SC US 29335, participants will have the opportunity to see how far they can push themselves within the given time frame. The challenge is to complete laps starting from dusk until dawn. The winner will be determined by the number of laps completed by the end of the night.

The off-road trail spans approximately 1 mile, showcasing the natural beauty of the Lanford area. Participants will traverse a variety of terrains, from gravel roads to wooded paths, and even hay pastures. The course begins at the main barn/crew area, venturing through scenic landscapes and offering an adrenaline-pumping experience.

Race Regulations

Timeframe: The race kicks off at dusk and concludes at dawn, allowing participants to race through the night.

Lap Completion: To be considered a finisher, participants must complete the first lap at dusk and the last lap at dawn.

No Speed Requirements: There are no cut-off times or speed requirements, promoting a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Trail Conditions: The trail is on uneven terrain, presenting challenges and surprises from Mother Nature, including wildlife encounters and varying weather conditions.

The event aims to support the Laurens County Humane Society, advocating for the well-being of animals and raising awareness about their needs, especially during the winter months. Proceeds from the event will contribute to their cause, ensuring a better life for our four-legged friends.

Race Day Logistics

Participants are encouraged to bring their own light sources and hydration. While some snacks and nutrition will be available at the crew area, it’s advised to prepare accordingly. The event organizers will sound horns at the start, midnight for a direction change, and the final lap to keep participants informed and engaged.

Breakfast and Awards

After the challenging night race, participants will be treated to a hearty breakfast. Additionally, top finishers will receive awards, celebrating their remarkable achievements during the event.
