HRC Corporate Equality Index names Womble Carlyle a “Best Place to Work” for LGBT equality for third consecutive year

Once again, Womble Carlyle has been honored for its support of LGBT equality. The Human Rights Campaign’s 2017 Corporate Equality Index has awarded the super-regional powerhouse a perfect score of 100 for the third year in a row.

The 2017 HRC Corporate Equality Index measures corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. The measured criteria include:

  • Non-discrimination workplace protections
  • Domestic partner benefits
  • Transgender-inclusive health care benefits
  • Company-wide organizational competency programs, and
  • Positive public engagement with the LGBT community.

Womble Carlyle satisfied all of the criteria and has been designated a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. In all, 517 major U.S. businesses earned perfect scores on the 2017 HRC Corporate Equality Index
