HRP Associates’ Greenville office relocates to historic Judson Mill District

April 5, 2023

HRP Associates, Inc. (HRP), an environmental engineering and consulting firm with offices nationwide, announced the relocation of its Greenville office to the historic Judson Mill District. The multi-disciplinary firm relocated its 20 employees from its space on Miller Road in Greenville to a 6,100-square-foot space in the Annex Building at Judson Mill. Its Greenville location has served as a regional headquarters for almost 30 years, and is supported by local southeast offices in Asheville, Charleston, Charlotte, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem.

HRP said the new space mixes elements of reuse with contemporary design, which aligns with HRP’s 40 years of client-focused service and forward-thinking vision.

“We’re delighted to join Judson Mill’s thriving community,” HRP Associates principal and regional manager Shaun Malin said. “Judson Mill offers our staff not only immediate access to a multitude of businesses on campus, but also downtown. The transformation that has taken place compliments the essential functions of HRP’s environmental, engineering, health and sustainability practices, and we are thrilled to be part of it.”

Additionally, the office features a large conference room that will serve as a collaborative meeting and training space for employees.

“HRP is an excellent addition to the Judson Mill campus,” said Ken Reiter, Belmont Sayre president and co-developer of Judson Mill District. “HRP’s innovative environmental engineering and expertise with brownfield redevelopments corresponds well with the history of our Mill and its redevelopment, and we are excited to have them on campus.”

Avison Young, a global commercial real estate advisor, led the leasing efforts with HRP on behalf of the Judson Mill District.

HRP Associates joins a variety of tenants at Judson Mill District including the recently announced Play Café at Judson Mill, High Spirits Hospitality, Stumpy’s Hatchet House, Magnetic South Brewery, Jud Hub, The Foundry at Judson Mill, SeamonWhiteside, Feed & Seed, BlocHaven, and the Lofts at Judson Mill.

About Judson Mill District
Judson Mill District is a sustainable and vibrant mixed-use community offering soulful city living in Greenville, SC. Once the largest textile mill in Greenville County and an integral part of Greenville’s Mill Crescent wrapping the city’s west side, Judson Mill District is now home to office, restaurant, brewery, retail, entertainment, and residential spaces. In 2017, Taft Family Ventures, a distinguished real estate investment and development firm based in Greenville, NC, joined with Belmont Sayre, a privately held real estate investment and development company based in Chapel Hill, NC, to transform the historic 800,000-square-foot textile mill that closed in 2015. While maintaining its vision to preserve the soul, spirit, and features of the historic mill, Judson Mill District utilizes a sustainable approach in revitalizing its 36-acre campus, which now fosters a vibrant and affordable community where people live, work, and play.
