HTC and Santee Cooper Serve Customers in New Carolina Forest Office

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – April 21, 2009 – Santee Cooper and HTC are working together to serve their respective customers from a brand new facility located at Towne Centre in Carolina Forest. HTC constructed the attractive new two story building and both utilities provide full customer service from 1500 sq. ft of shared retail space. The new location is centrally located in the growing Carolina Forest area at the intersection of Carolina Forest Blvd. and River Oaks Drive and is easily accessible from S.C Highway 31 and Grissom Parkway.
“Our focus is always on keeping costs low and customer satisfaction high and we view this as a positive partnership for both utilities and the customer,” said Zack Dusenbury, vice president of retail operations at Santee Cooper. Both utilities have a long history of community and customer service and both maintain customer service offices throughout the area. The Carolina Forest office is the ninth full service retail office for Santee Cooper and the tenth for HTC.
“We were very excited about opening our tenth retail location for our service area, and we are pleased to be able to share the retail space with one of our community partners, Santee Cooper. We hope residents and businesses will take advantage of the conveniences offered from having a full-service store in their neighborhood to provide the latest in telecommunications technology for home or office,” said Tom Vitt, HTC Director of Marketing.
Santee Cooper customers will be able to open, close or transfer an account, pay a bill and obtain a myriad of other electric account services at the new location.
The facility is a full-service source for telecommunications and entertainment services with everything from phone, digital cable and wireless, to NetRacer broadband internet. The office at Towne Centre also offers a Home Integration demonstration room, a feature not available at any other HTC retail location. The room allows potential home buyers to view demonstrations of whole house audio components, surround sound, security systems and keypads, central vacuum, home intercom and structured wiring panels for demonstration and hands on training.
