Hughes crowned winner of “Miss Chuck” pageant

Rusty Hughes was crowned “Miss Chuck of 2017” at the October 5th champagne breakfast hosted by the West Ashley, Orleans Road office of Carolina One Real Estate.
The coveted title bestowed on Hughes was based not only on his obvious charm, beauty and talent, but on the number of votes ($$$) cast by agents and staff present at the event.
A total of nearly $1900 was raised in support of the Charleston Basket Brigade, a 10 year old annual Charleston area event whose goal this year is to pack and deliver 3500 boxes of food containing a 10-12 lb. turkey and all the trimmings; enough food to feed a family of 6 or 21,000 needy individuals on Thanksgiving.
Inside the unmarked box is an anonymous letter that reads: “This comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do this for someone else one day.”
