October 24, 2016
The Humane Society of South Carolina is excited to announce it has received a generous $20,000 grant from the Petco Foundation for its Fido FixersMobile Spay Neuter Clinic. With this grant, the Humane Society will be able to
provide half-priced spay/neuter surgeries throughout the Midlands.
The Humane Society is fortunate to have received one of only three Fido Fixers clinics in the nation. This mobile clinic is making low-cost spay/neuter surgeries a reality in communities throughout the Midlands. Fido Fixers has performed more than 2,000 surgeries so far this year. Fido Fixers is reaching rural communities in Calhoun, Chester, Fairfield, Orangeburg, Sumter, Lexington, Marlboro, Newberry and Richland counties;
and with this partnership with Petco Foundation, we are looking to expand that reach even further! The mobile clinic is able to provide surgeries, immunizations, and other services to patients in convenient locations, making spay/neuter services accessible to more and more people.
Please come celebrate our partnership with the Petco Foundation on October 26, 2016 at the Petco store in Lexington 5438 Sunset Blvd at 10:00 AM. Help the HumaneSocietyensure that Fido Fixers reaches even more animals in South Carolina.
The Humane Society is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization. They offer low cost spay/neuter surgeries and investigate reports of animal cruelty and abuse. In addition to helping pets and pet owners, the donated items will help save money and help keep prices low so more people will be able to afford having their pets spayed or neutered.

About the Petco Foundation
At the Petco Foundation, we believe that every animal deserves to live its best life. Since 1999,
we’ve invested more than $170 million in lifesaving animal welfare work to make that happen.
With our more than 4,000 animal welfare partners, we inspire and empower communities to
make a difference by investing in adoption and medical care programs, spay and neuter
services, pet cancer research, service and therapy animals, and numerous other lifesaving

initiatives. Through our Think Adoption First program, we partner with Petco stores and animal
welfare organizations across the country to increase pet adoptions. So far, we’ve helped more
than 5 million pets find their new loving families, and we’re just getting started. Visit
