IEB Americas selects Charleston County for first major North American production operation
August 11, 2026IEB Americas Inc., a producer of battery charging and power supply solutions, has selected Charleston County for its first major production operation in North America. The company is investing $1.5 million in the facility and plans to create 30 jobs.
The new operation, located at 4100 Carolina Commerce Parkway in North Charleston, will serve as IEB Americas’ production, warehousing, service and training center for the United States. The company will assemble and test products for North and South American markets, manage inventory and provide support to customers and business partners.
IEB Americas is a subsidiary of Industrie Elektronik Brilon GmbH, a German manufacturer of industrial battery charging systems and charging technologies. Founded in 1980, the parent company is headquartered in Brilon, Germany.
“We are proud to open a new chapter in the IEB success story with our new facility in South Carolina: IEB systems made in America,” IEB Americas CEO Stefan Fiedler said. He said the facility will allow the company to bring its energy systems and charging technologies closer to U.S. customers while providing more localized and flexible service.
