The expo is being described as an umbrella event for all of agriculture and agribusiness.  Several educational sessions are planned during the three days.  Some of the many topics include land legacy and deciding who should inherit your land, the economics of crop production in SC, why internet marketing is important, and successful ventures in agritourism. The farm show will offer a wide variety of equipment and farm products.

“I am looking forward to the SC AgriBiz and Farm Expo, because it will provide an incredible opportunity to show off the continuous success of agriculture in South Carolina. This expo will bring together various supporters and industry leaders, and I encourage anyone with a passion for agriculture to attend,” said South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers.

Breakfast with the Commissioner is planned for Friday, January 18.  The breakfast will highlight the success of the SC Commissioner’s School for Agriculture.   Tickets for the breakfast are $25 or $250 for corporate tables.  All the proceeds will benefit the Commissioner’s School held each summer at Clemson University.  To purchase tickets or for more information on the expo, please visit www.agriculture.sc.gov and look under Hot Topics for SC AgriBiz and Farm Expo.
