October is National Pizza Month, and the locally and independently owned Village Idiot Pizza restaurant, with three locations across the Columbia, S.C. area, is celebrating all month long. National Pizza Month Features and Promotions at Village Idiot Pizza:

Personalize for a Prize:
To celebrate its longtime fans, Village Idiot Pizza is asking Columbia pizza lovers to design their ultimate pies during October. Contestants can participate on Facebook in the contest post’s comment thread by typing a description of their ultimate pie, noting the combination of their favorite ingredients, providing a clever name for the pizza and stating why they chose that name. The contest will be hosted on Facebook for the month of October 2018 and the winner will be announced at the end of the month via Facebook Live with Village Idiot Pizza owners Kelly and Brian Glynn. The most creative (and appetizing) pizza will earn the nominee a $100 gift card, and their custom-created pizza will be the monthly menu feature for November 2018 at all Village Idiot locations.

“Fall” in Love with the Brussels and Bacon Pizza:
In honor of the crisp fall weather, Village Idiot Pizza has introduced the “Brussels and Bacon Pizza”, a crispy Brussels sprout pie as their October monthly feature. Fans can look forward to an olive oil and garlic base, Brussels sprouts and bacon toppings and the perfect amount of balsamic drizzle as the finishing touch. This pizza will only be available during the month of October 2018 and is available at all locations—from Olympia @ The Mills, to Five Points, to Forest Drive.

New Menu Makes Debut:
Village Idiot Pizza has launched a newly designed menu at all locations, with a few added bonuses. New to the specialty pie section, The Chicken Hibachi Pizza was such an overwhelming success as a monthly feature that it has landed it a permanent spot on the menu. The pizza is the ideal mix of spicy, sweet, and savory. It has a teriyaki base; chicken, broccoli and red onion toppings; swirls of Sriracha; and the house “yum yum” sauce. In addition to the new specialty pie, an Italian Cheese Dip – with pizza sauce, Village Idiot’s special sausage and a soft queso-like white cheese – and new crust “dippables” have all been added to the menu.

Village Idiot Pizza offers home delivery, pick-up and dine-in service at its three Columbia, S.C., locations. The Village Idiot Pizza in Five Points is located at 2009 Devine Street. The Village Idiot Pizza in Forest Acres is located at 4517 Forest Drive and The Village Idiot Pizza in the Olympia neighborhood is located at 612 Whaley Street, Suite A.
