Interim HealthCare celebrates Midlands ribbon cutting and expanded continuum of care

June 22, 2026

Interim HealthCare of the Midlands recently celebrated its ribbon cutting and open house, marking a milestone in the organization’s continued investment across South Carolina.

Since expanding into the Midlands in 2021, Interim HealthCare has built relationships with patients, families, referral partners, and community providers throughout the region. The celebration marked the growth of services that allow more families to receive support from a team they know and trust.

The event drew a strong turnout of community partners, local leaders, referral sources, and Interim HealthCare team members. The Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center led the ribbon cutting ceremony, with local Chamber ambassadors present to celebrate the milestone. Congressman Joe Wilson also joined the celebration and presented Interim HealthCare with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, recognizing the milestone and the organization’s continued service to families across the Midlands.

With the addition of Personal Care services, families across the Midlands can now access Home Health, Hospice, and Personal Care through one provider. As a loved one’s needs change, families can stay with a care team that already knows their story, preferences, and care goals, helping reduce the need to start over when decisions feel urgent or overwhelming.

“Expanding Personal Care in the Midlands is about more than adding another service line,” said Michael Calderon, Vice President of Operations for Interim HealthCare. “It allows us to meet families at more points along the care journey and helps them understand what kind of support makes the most sense as their needs change.”

The ribbon cutting also reflected Interim HealthCare’s mission to honor God through the enrichment of human life. As the organization deepens its presence in the Midlands, it continues to invest in compassionate, high-quality care that is local, personal, and easier for families to navigate.
