Ira Reasons Named Chief Administrative Officer of the YMCA of Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC – The YMCA of Columbia has named Ira Reasons as Chief Administrative Officer. He will oversee the Finance, Risk Management, Human Resources, Property and Information Technology departments.

Reasons served as the YMCA of Columbia’s Chief Operating Officer from 2007 until 2009 when he joined the staff of YMCA of the USA as Resource Director for Arkansas, Louisiana, and Tennessee. His 25-year YMCA career also includes roles as the Chief Operating Officer of the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana and Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Coastal Carolina.

“We are very excited to have Ira back in Columbia,” said Bryan Madden, Chief Executive Officer of the YMCA of Columbia. “Ira holds the same values that the YMCA stands for: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith, and his YMCA background is going to be a wonderful asset to our Association Office.”

The YMCA of Columbia association has five branches: the Downtown YMCA, the Jeep Rogers Family YMCA at Lake Carolina, the NorthWest Family YMCA in Irmo, the Lexington Family YMCA, and the Orangeburg County YMCA.
