Irmo Allstate Agent Aaron Shealy will host the Palmetto Baptist Digital Mobile Mammography van on Thursday, Sept. 22, beginning at 8 a.m. Agency representatives will be giving our free t-shirts and magnets, and will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs.
WHO Women wishing to have a mammography can have one taken at the Palmetto Baptist Digital Mobile Mammography Unit. Women wishing to have a mammography must fall within the guidelines set forth by the American Cancer Society (women between 35-39, Age 40 and over, Baseline (first) Mammogram and Mammogram every year).

WHAT Mammography is a x-ray of the breasts that can detect very small lumps three to five years before they can be felt( when they are most treatable), according to Palmetto Health. When detected early, breast cancer cure rates approach 100 percent, Palmetto Health reports.
