GREENVILLE, SC  – IT-oLogy is the recipient of a gift from ScanSource to help fund its PRISM programs, including Cyber Studio Summer Events and Saturday workshops. Cyber Studio introduces elementary, middle and high school students to careers in IT through hands-on projects and activities.

“We have long been a supporter of education initiatives that help young people in our community reach their fullest potential,” said Christy Thompson, vice president of worldwide marketing, ScanSource, Inc. “We were excited to learn of IT-ology’s efforts in the areas of IT education and are proud to help bring them to the upstate.”

“ScanSource’s decision to support IT-oLogy allows us to multiply and magnify our efforts to reach more young students about careers in IT and at the same time further the mission of ScanSource,” said Lonnie Emard, president of IT-oLogy. “The PRISM grant, through the SC Department of Commerce, has allowed us to expand Cyber Studio Summer Events in Greenville to more middle and high school students.”
