IT-oLogy selected as a 2020 InnoVision Education Award finalist

October 5, 2020

IT-oLogy is one of three finalists selected for the InnoVision Education Award this year. The InnoVision Education Award is awarded to an organization that demonstrates an innovative application of technology to improve South Carolina education.

In partnership with the South Carolina Department of Education, IT-oLogy recently launched Tech-in-a-Box, a new program that served South Carolina students in 6th through 8th grade. Tech-in-a-Box served as a virtual summer camp option for many students. The students were mailed a box of STEM supplies and activity guidelines; at the designated times, they logged into IT-oLogy’s virtual platform to join other students and IT-oLogy’s instructors for live STEM workshops.

“IT-oLogy is proud to be recognized as a finalist for the InnoVison Education Award. We believe in creating programs that not only educate students but open their minds to the endless possibilities of technology,” said Tammy Mainwaring, President of IT-oLogy.

InnoVison Awards is a South Carolina based nonprofit that strives to foster the growth of South Carolina’s innovation economy. The InnoVision Education Award is one of many awards that will be announced this November at the InnoVision Awards Ceremony.

IT-oLogy, along with the other finalists of this category, Spartanburg Community College and VR Mondi, will speak on their nominated innovations on October 13, 2020 at 4 p.m. during a “Meet the Finalists” virtual celebration. Attendance for this event may be secured by registering at www.innovisionawards.org.
