iTs|SC plans careers in insurance mixer for Midlands students

iTs|SC: Columbia’s Insurance Technology & Services Cluster will host a Careers in Insurance mixer for students in the Midlands as well as recent graduates. The mixer, to be held on the rooftop of USC’s Moore School of Business, will allow students to learn more about opportunities in local business and technology roles in insurance and insurance technology fields.
This mixer offers students a chance to meet with local companies and recruiting managers, strengthening their professional network and creating opportunities. Company representatives will be on hand to meet students and discuss internship and job opportunities, and to answer questions about opportunities within the industry.
“This exclusive event is a great way for students to explore all that the Midland’s thriving insurance technology cluster has to offer,” said Maria Price, Chair of the iTs|SC. “It’s our goal to bring together students and prospective employers so they can learn about each other and build valuable relationships for the future.”
At the event, two recent graduates will give short testimonials on the importance of maximizing networking opportunities with organizations like iTs|SC. “Exposure at an event like this gave me great insight into the insurance and insurance technology industries here in the Midlands, and the contacts there helped me kickstart my career,” said Austin Lackey, with TCube Solutions.
