J.L. Mann announces Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children as 2016 Spirit Week Beneficiary

GREENVILLE, SC – J.L. Mann High School announced Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children as their 2016 Spirit Week beneficiary. Spirit Week will kick off on Friday, September 9, 2016 and conclude on Friday, September 16, 2016. J.L. Mann will compete against Greenville High School to raise funds for local nonprofits. A check presentation will take place during halftime of the J.L. Mann High School vs. Greenville High School football game on September 16, 2016.

“On behalf of the J.L. Mann student body, we believe that Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children is an amazing organization that continues to have an incredible impact on the lives of those affected by pediatric cancer and blood disorders in our community,” said Harrison Mills, Student Body President at J.L. Mann High School. 

“We are excited about partnering with Clements Kindness for J. L. Mann High School’s 2016 Spirit Week. The opportunity for our students to rally around children who are dealing with cancer is one that we know the entire Mann Nation will support and will help us to fulfill our motto of Making a Difference,” said Charles Mayfield, Principal at J.L. Mann High School. ​

Funds raised during Spirit Week will help Clement’s Kindness continue to address the medical, psychological, social, emotional and financial needs of Upstate families impacted by pediatric cancer and serious blood disorders.

“We are thrilled to be selected as JL Mann’s beneficiary for the 2016 Spirit Week and look forward to working with the students at J.L. Mann High School,” said Bern DuPree, Board Chair of Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children. “We appreciate the hard work and time the student body will be putting into Spirit Week and are grateful for their support.”

 

About Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children

Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children was established at the Community Foundation of Greenville in 2002 to help address the medical, psychological, social, emotional and financial needs of Upstate families impacted by pediatric cancer and other serious blood disorders.  The fund provides assistance to families facing the tremendous challenges surrounding a child’s diagnosis, treatment, and recovery through the administering of discretionary funds, psychological counseling, travel and living expenses and out-of-pocket costs.
