James Weatherholtz to Lead S.C. Bar Association’s Construction Law Section

CHARLESTON, SC – July 24, 2012 – Womble Carlyle attorney James Weatherholtz has been elected Chair of the South Carolina Bar Association’s Construction Law Section.

Weatherholtz concentrates his practice on the representation of construction products manufacturers, contractors, homebuilders and sureties. James has particular depth of experience in building products cases, where he has defended manufacturers of engineered wood siding and trim products, elastomeric coatings, laminated beams, metal roof shingles, built-up roofing products, solder flux, and synthetic stucco cladding. He also has experience defending surety companies in cases involving performance and payment bonds. He regularly represents contractors and subcontractors in cases involving payment disputes and alleged construction defects.

Weatherholtz also currently serves as the program vice chair for DRI’s 2013 Product Liability Conference and he practices in Womble Carlyle’s Charleston office.
