Jamon Meredith hosting Upstate Offensive Lineman Football Academy

What: The Upstate Offensive Lineman Football Academy is geared toward offensive lineman who are playing football as high school freshman to rising seniors. Coaches will start with the basics and work through the techniques and take the group as far as they want to go given the time allotted so all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

When: Saturday June 27, 2015. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. and the event goes until noon.

Where: Kroc Center, 424 Westfield Street, Greenville, SC.

Who: Jamon Meredith is a product of Hillcrest High School, who then played collegiately at the University of South Carolina. A three-year starter for the Gamecocks, Meredith was drafted in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He has played in more than 50 games in the NFL as an offensive lineman including having started games with the Buffalo Bills, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is currently with the Tennessee Titans where he started three games in the 2014 season.

The Wyatt Sports Academy(WSA) is a division of Wyatt Sports, LLC, where it specializes in individual and group position training from beginners to pro, as well as managing various youth football camps for former and current high profile professional football players. Why: Meredith and a select group of coaches with college and professional pedigrees will work with athletes on fine tuning aspects of their pass blocking and run block techniques.

Cost: $50. Scholarships are available for those needing financial assistance and can be applied for here. Cost includes t-shirt for participants.
