The severe storms of Tuesday caused organizers of the monthly diaper drive thru to postpone the event scheduled for January 9. The new date is Tuesday, January 16.
This month’s Diaper Drive Thru will take place in Clinton at the Victory Worship Center Parking Lot (located at the intersection of Highway 76 E and Springdale Drive) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
To meet the increasing demand, there is a need for a higher volume of diaper donations. Those willing to contribute can support by purchasing packs of diapers, with larger sizes (6 and 7) and pull-ups being the most requested items, during their next shopping trip. Donations can be dropped off at designated locations:
- Sadler Hughes Apothecary in Clinton
- Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices C. Dan Joyner Realtors in Clinton
To ensure assistance reaches those genuinely in need, parents or guardians seeking help at the Diaper Drive Thru must present appropriate identification to verify their circumstances. Verification documents may include a copy of the parent or guardian’s photo ID, along with supporting documentation proving custody or birth. Eligible forms of verification include birth certificates, WIC or Medicaid cards for the child, foster care or custody paperwork, and daycare or school IDs. Each family is eligible to receive one pack of diapers and wipes per child, with a maximum of two children per household. Identification is only required the first time.
Collaboration with Carolina Pregnancy Center
In addition to providing diapers and wipes, the Diaper Drive Thru collaborates with the Carolina Pregnancy Center (CPC) from Spartanburg. CPC’s mobile unit will be present at the event, offering free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds as needed. This collaboration significantly enhances the event’s impact, providing comprehensive support to families facing challenges.
Making a difference, one diaper at a time.
