Jay Rogers Appointed to South Carolina District Export Council

GREENVILLE, SC – August 11, 2010 – Womble Carlyle attorney Jay Rogers has been appointed to the South Carolina District Export Council, an organization that promotes the export of South Carolina goods. The Council works closely with the U.S. Commercial Service’s U.S. Export Assistance Centers in these efforts.

Rogers is one of three new appointments to the South Carolina District Export Council. Joining him are Aaron Zynczak, senior vice president Carolina First Bank, Tim Adams, Economic Development Director of the South Carolina Forestry Commission, and Companion Global Healthcare President David Boucher. Rogers will serve a three-year term on the Council.

Rogers’ legal practice includes advising U.S. and foreign companies with respect to: mergers and acquisitions; corporate and capital structures; commercial relationships with lenders, vendors and customers; U.S. and foreign Customs matters; immigration/I-9 compliance issues and economic development incentives offered by local, state and national governments. He has represented clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, gaming, business services and information technology. Rogers practices in Womble Carlyle’s Greenville, S.C. office.
