Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams to celebrate first Columbia location

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will celebrate the grand opening of its first Columbia location on Thursday, Oct. 22, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an evening of free ice cream and giveaways.
Located at 2156 Pickens St. in the BullStreet District, the new shop will bring the company’s handcrafted, super-premium ice cream to the Columbia area. The menu will feature at least 20 rotating flavors, including popular choices such as Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake and Double Dough, along with seasonal and limited-time offerings.
The grand opening celebration will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. and will include free scoops throughout the event. The first 50 people in line will receive Jeni’s merchandise, and five guests will have the chance to win free ice cream for a year.
To enter the giveaway, guests must download the Jeni’s app, sign up for the Jeni’s Splendid Rewards program and scan their rewards app during the event.
Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann, representatives from the City of Columbia’s Office of Economic Development and Jeni’s representatives are expected to participate in the celebration.
